Video Games Testing

Hello, my son is 18 and wanting to create video games and work for a company to test video games. Where can we find some good ones?

He is very good at it, and has beaten any game quickly since he was 5 years old.
I would appreicate any advice to help him further with this.
Thank you.

1) Many video games do NOT hire video game testers directly. They generally hire a different company that has contractors to do the work.

2) If he's interested in creating video games, you might want to look into some courses or degrees that focuses in video game design.

3) If he really just want to get his foot in the door, I would suggest looking into software testing/QA, generally video game testing does not require any experience but some basic knowledge in software testing/QA will help him stand out.

"Still the best Game Testing Job Guide in 2008..."

By far the easiest-to-follow guide I came across - my experience says you should set aside maybe half a day to read the tips and get fully organised.

This is the only guide that assumes absolutely no knowledge of game testing jobs. Impressively, our support ticket was responded to in under an hour (although it could take a little longer at weekends), and there is an unconditional 8 week guarantee.

The Verdict: Fast and easy steps to get your game testing job; works for complete paid to play novices; my top pick
